New model planning agreement published
The second edition of the model planning agreement (Section 106) is now available to download from the Law Society website.
The model has been revised to take account of legal and economic developments since the first edition. In particular it expands on the provisions for affordable housing. Feedback on the first edition has also been taken into account and incorporated in this revision.
The model is intended to:
- provide a starting point for negotiations over planning agreements with local authorities
- reduce the time spent negotiating standard matters
- encourage greater standardisation in drafting planning agreements and the use of common provisions
