Property Section releases sixth version of Handling HIPs booklet

The Law Society Property Section has just released version six of its Handling HIPs booklet, to reflect changes announced in late 2008 and coming into effect earlier this year, as well as to provide practitioners with information on new elements of home information packs (HIPs), including property information questionnaires.

The booklet is designed to assist property practitioners meet the challenges and opportunities that HIPs present. It aims to provide an initial reference source to help users deal with the practicalities of the new requirements.

The booklet has been prepared by the Law Society Property Section with input from members of the Section’s executive committee and the Law Society e-conveyancing taskforce. It is updated as and when new information is available.

Members can download the current version free of charge from the Resources area of the website, which can only be accessing by logging in to the site. Non-members can purchase the booklet for £25 via the e-shop or email us for more details.
