Switching to Land Registry portal services – keeping up with developments

Land Registry has now introduced a range of electronic services on its new portal, which totally replaces Land Registry Direct. Land Registry Direct users will need to migrate across by the end of this year when the service is being withdrawn. Credit account holders will need to switch to payment by variable direct debit in order to do so.

Use of the expanding portal services opens up new opportunities for firms to benefit from online working and streamlining of processes, while at the same time presenting new challenges. The change process needs to be managed and a raft of decisions need to be taken along the way.

The Property Section and Land Registry have teamed up to produce a webinar which outlines the migration process; the raft of documentation describing the sign-up process; the use of and content of the services, and the legal responsibilities of firms and Land Registry in using these new ways of working. It also details e range of resources available to support users during and after the sign-up process.

For those who missed the webinar, it is now available to watch on demand at any time.
