Property in Practice is the flagship event of the Property Section and is designed for residential and commercial property solicitors and licensed conveyancers. This year the Law Society will announce its new conveyancing quality scheme at this unmissable annual event.

The theme of this year's conference is "Challenges and Solutions", and the programme will feature plenary sessions and workshops including:

• Regulatory issues - including speakers from the SRA on outcomes-focused regulation, and the Legal Ombudsman on complaints
• Mortgage fraud - how does it happen and how to avoid it
• Land Registry update, including e-transfers
• Workshops:
   - Anti money laundering - What a conveyancer really needs to know to avoid being used by criminals
   - Planning – When development becomes lawful
   - Commercial Property - leases
   - Stamp duty land tax

A discounted rate is available to Property Section members. Non-members will receive free membership to the Section until January 2012.
